I am a photojournalist, based in San Francisco Bay Area.
I regularly shoot for the Palo Alto Daily News, and also work
as a graphic designer and photographer for the San Francisco
Chronicle's Creative Department.

Prior to joining the Chronicle, I was the Staff Photographer
and Art Director for Philippine News (a nationally distributed
Filipino American newspaper). My work has also been published
by Giants Today, Tea Party Magazine, Missouri Life Magazine
and U.S. Air Force Public Affairs publications.

My academic background is in Fine Arts with an emphasis in
Visual Communications. Photojournalism studies include classes
at U.C. Berkeley and City College of San Francisco. Recent work-
shops include the University of Missouri Photo Workshop and the
VII Photo Agency lectures at Tufts University in Boston. Professional
memberships includes National Press Photographers Association
and Asian American Journalists Association.

I am the youngest of 8 children. Growing up in the 70's under
Martial Law in Manila, I witnessed several human atrocities which
motivated me to take up photography. After graduating from the
University of the Philippines, I decided to pursue photojournalism
– learning how important it is to document day–to–day life.
